About the position

The Account Manager position at Frederick Steel Co. involves selling a full product line of steel and processing services to various businesses in Northern Kentucky and the Greater Cincinnati area. The role requires developing strong relationships with customers, achieving sales goals, and maintaining a thorough understanding of the products and services offered. The ideal candidate will spend time in the main office located in Woodlawn, OH, while also being on the road to meet clients.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve sales goals each quarter.
  • Develop a partnering relationship with customers through regular contact to identify opportunities for products and processing.
  • Create a sales strategy and plan to meet sales goals in the designated territory.
  • Report on the achievement of sales strategy and plans using prescribed tools.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all products, promotions, technology, and services available.
  • Develop a list of prospects for new business using various resources.
  • Coordinate with Inside Sales, Sales Manager, and Director of Branch Operations to facilitate service requirements and resolve customer concerns.
  • Represent Benjamin Steel in a manner consistent with the Seven Habits of Highly Effective Teammates.
  • Perform other duties as assigned for the benefit of Benjamin Steel.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of industrial sales experience required.
  • Minimum of 8 years of related experience required.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Knowledge of steel applications and products preferred.
