About the position

The Account Manager for Global Financial Services at Amazon Web Services (AWS) is responsible for managing and expanding relationships with strategic payment financial services enterprise customers. This role involves driving revenue growth, adoption, and customer satisfaction by leveraging AWS cloud solutions. The ideal candidate will have a blend of sales and technical expertise, enabling them to effectively advise customers, develop innovative programs, and enhance platform adoption across various business units.

Responsibilities

  • Identifying and building trusted advisor relationships with key influencers and decision-makers, specifically CxOs, at the customer.
  • Working closely with internal AWS teams and external partners to support the best business solution for customers.
  • Defining a CXO relationship strategy within the customer and coordinating executive business reviews.
  • Maintaining customer satisfaction levels and operating with significant autonomy and discretion.
  • Managing the sales pipeline via Salesforce and facilitating all stages of a sale.
  • Participating and leading in the negotiation and closing of legal agreements and contracts.
  • Maintaining an operating knowledge of AWS's service catalog and relating them to solving customers' business problems.
  • Helping define product requirements by understanding and evangelizing the needs of customers.
  • Working with marketing and communications to develop formal references, PR, and case studies.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of full sales cycle experience in technology sales or equivalent business development experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software.
  • Experience in engineering, computer science, or Management Information Systems (MIS).
  • Experience driving new business in greenfield accounts at the C-suite level or equivalent.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the Payments industry.
  • Strong leadership presence and ability to command a room in meetings.
