About the position

As an Account Manager at LG Electronics, you will step into a pivotal role within our National Sales team, focusing on the Home Appliances sector. This position is designed for a sales professional who is passionate about driving growth and expanding LG's market presence through strategic account management. You will be responsible for managing specified accounts within an assigned territory, with the goal of achieving and exceeding sales quotas. Your role will involve direct engagement with both current and prospective accounts, allowing you to build strong relationships and foster long-term partnerships. In this position, you will implement targeted strategies aimed at expanding LG's market share among small regional accounts. This will include the creation of initial business plans that outline overall revenue and unit targets, as well as specific goals for individual product categories. You will collaborate closely with the Director of Sales to review these plans and ensure alignment with broader company objectives. Your responsibilities will also encompass the design and execution of the go-to-market strategy, which will require regular tracking and reporting to assess progress and make necessary adjustments. You will manage forecast accuracy in collaboration with Product Management, ensuring that inventory levels are optimized to meet market demand. Additionally, you will work with internal teams to maximize marketing expenditures and activities, enhancing brand exposure and driving growth. Administrative tasks will be supported by the Inside Sales team, allowing you to focus on building relationships and driving sales. This role is not just about meeting quotas; it’s about creating value for both LG and our customers, ensuring that our solutions meet their needs effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Grow LG's market with specified accounts in an assigned territory.
  • Achieve and exceed sales quotas by engaging with current and prospective accounts.
  • Implement strategies to expand market presence with small regional accounts.
  • Create initial business plans for overall revenue and unit targets, as well as individual product category targets.
  • Participate in the design and execution of the go-to-market strategy with regular tracking and reporting.
  • Manage forecast accuracy and align with Product Management.
  • Optimize channel and LG inventory levels for maximum efficiency.
  • Liaise with internal groups to optimize marketing dollars and activities for brand growth.
  • Manage administrative tasks with support from the Inside Sales team.

Requirements

  • GED is required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of sales experience or equivalent with a proven track record of results.
  • Strong relationship-building skills.
  • Outstanding communication skills.
  • Solid business acumen and thought leadership in sales, marketing, operations, finance, and account P&L.
