About the position

The Account Manager I position at Nuance Systems involves serving as a customer service representative for both established and prospective clients. The role emphasizes maintaining the integrity of products and services while fostering strong relationships with internal and external customers. The Account Manager will be responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction and on-time delivery of orders, contributing to the company's commitment to engineering excellence in high-tech markets such as semiconductors and biotechnology.

Responsibilities

• Direct customer interaction and communication via email, phone, or customer portal.
• Order receipt and entry, including quoting and order management.
• Coordinate shipment and fulfillment of customer orders to maintain on-time delivery.
• Maintain communication with customers regarding order status and schedule impacts.
• Generate and release work orders for scheduling and manufacturing.
• Review customer purchase orders to ensure correct processing and agreement on expectations.
• Participate in escalation management for customer and internal needs.
• Conduct work in accordance with NSI quality system and requirements.
• Field and quote customer requests, and coordinate the processing of returned materials (RMA).
• Utilize ERP systems and MS Office suite for reporting and communication.

Requirements

• High school degree or equivalent.
• One or more years of related experience and/or training preferred.
• Good organizational skills and high energy level.
• Self-motivated with keen attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Proficiency with computer applications including MS Word, Excel, Project, and Outlook.
• Ability to write status reports and general business correspondence.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in sales or customer service roles.
• Familiarity with ERP systems.
