About the position

The Regional Enterprise Sales role at Lumen focuses on developing sales accounts within a designated geographic territory. The position aims to drive sales, enhance brand awareness, and grow the territory by leveraging a complex suite of services and products. This hybrid role requires a combination of in-office presence and significant fieldwork to engage with prospective enterprise customers.

Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate and detailed weekly forecasts of identified and proposed opportunities to meet or exceed sales quotas.
  • Develop Regional Enterprise sales by identifying new sales opportunities through cold calling, premise visits, networking, lead generation, proposal submission, and customer appointments.
  • Build effective relationships internally through cross-functional collaboration with partners such as Customer Success, Product, Marketing, and Sales Support.
  • Identify, bid on, negotiate, and close new sales opportunities to meet and exceed established sales and revenue quotas.
  • Create comprehensive account plans and strategies to win new business from existing accounts.
  • Provide input to sales management about trends and changes within the customer's organization and recommend future actions to improve the company's position.
  • Leverage strategic client relationships and external presence to achieve Lumen's strategic imperatives.
  • Utilize external networks to identify and recruit high-performing talent and build internal relationships for career opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience.
  • 5-7+ years' experience using a solution-based sales methodology for enterprise technology services in a consultative, complex sales process.
  • Strong communication, written, and formal presentation skills, with proficiency in closing sales.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Products: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Strong business acumen and expert knowledge of Lumen's products, services, and solutions.
  • Experience with Salesforce.com preferred.
