About the position

The Account Manager II at Renaissance is responsible for managing and selling the company's educational products and services within a designated territory. This role focuses on achieving revenue goals through various sales strategies, including prospecting, customer renewals, and cross-selling. The Account Manager II serves as the primary contact for customers, fostering long-term relationships and ensuring high product renewal rates while collaborating with Customer Success partners and the Account Executive team.

Responsibilities

  • Drive new business, cross/up-sell, and renewal opportunities by engaging multiple decision makers.
  • Grow assigned book of business to exceed revenue goals.
  • Understand and sell solutions aligned to customers' unique problems and strategic objectives.
  • Lead across the account team and develop winning solutions that bring value to customers.
  • Consistently close business and develop persuasive presentations to overcome late-stage deal obstacles.
  • Possess deep knowledge of the K-12 education space, including public, private, and parochial schools.
  • Maintain strong understanding of K-12 districts, school administrative roles, and purchasing processes.
  • Stay current on trends and policies affecting customer businesses in the ed tech space.
  • Build rapport with customers based on expertise and market insights.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of prior experience in sales.
  • Proficient in collaboration tools (e.g., Outlook, Slack, Microsoft Teams).
  • Familiarity with CRMs and sales technology (e.g., Salesforce, MS Dynamics).
  • Knowledge of education customers and their organizational structures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills.
