About the position

The Account Manager / Inside Sales Executive role focuses on driving sales within existing accounts while also pursuing new business opportunities in the IT and technology sector. The position requires a proactive approach to client engagement, market research, and collaboration with leading manufacturers to deliver effective solutions. The role is based in Saint Paul, MN, and offers a flexible schedule with a strong emphasis on teamwork and professional growth.

Responsibilities

  • Answer inbound calls and call on leads to prospect new clients.
  • Conduct market research to develop competitive proposals while maintaining strong gross margins.
  • Collaborate with leading manufacturers and distributors to deliver top-tier solutions.
  • Represent the company at regional and national educational conferences.
  • Utilize the CRM system to document client interactions and manage sales activities.
  • Develop a strategic business plan for territory expansion through new account acquisition and growth of existing relationships.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless collaboration throughout the pre- and post-sales process.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of phone/outside sales experience; Education Technology sales in K12 is a huge plus.
  • Experience with state contracts and RFPs is a plus.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a hunter mentality.
  • Self-motivated with a passion for the education sector.
  • Ability to facilitate presentations in person or virtually.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Self-study to build industry knowledge and stay on the cutting edge of technology.
