About the position

The Account Manager, Inside Sales at Howmet Aerospace is responsible for creating, maintaining, and developing relationships with current and potential accounts. This role involves a variety of activities related to contract review, customer relations, customer service, sales support, account profitability, and order processing. The Account Manager will oversee customer order files and maintain a high level of internal communication between external sales, purchasing, planning, engineering, metallurgy, operations, and accounting. Key responsibilities include supporting the preparation of sales forecasts, ensuring that customer purchase orders are in place to replace forecasts prior to launch, and acting as the leading support for budgeting and LQE activities. Excellent communication skills are essential, as the role requires interaction with customers and internal teams. The Account Manager will develop and maintain positive customer relations, demonstrating depth of relationships across the organizational structure at key accounts. The position also involves leading customer visits and meetings, preparing clear agenda items, and presenting a positive impression of the company to customers and external visitors. The Account Manager will track customer milestones, identify and drive improvements in sales processes, and negotiate discounts with customers. Additionally, the role requires maintaining export licensing with international customers and proactively responding to customer inquiries regarding order status. The Account Manager will also be responsible for the timely and accurate entry of orders and the commercial contract review process, ensuring all documentation is generated appropriately to launch products on time. Overall, this position plays a critical role in ensuring customer satisfaction and driving sales success for Howmet Aerospace.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Five years of related experience in sales or account management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and MRP software.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret business documents and technical procedures.
  • Experience with metal alloys and/or aerospace is highly preferred.
