About the position

As an Account Manager, Inside Sales at TECO Partners, you will play a crucial role in our mission to provide exceptional service to both new and existing residential natural gas customers. This position requires a proactive approach to customer engagement, ensuring that our clients receive the highest level of support and assistance. You will be responsible for facilitating inbound calls and supporting initiatives aimed at increasing sales of natural gas and other energy-related services. Additionally, you may participate in outbound telemarketing projects to further drive sales and customer acquisition. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include selling and promoting TECO Partners' marketing programs, adding new residential natural gas customers within the TECO Peoples Gas service areas, and managing inbound and outbound telephone communications with existing, potential, and former residential customers. You will also communicate the company's approved residential Energy Conservation rebate program and handle customer inquiries and requests effectively. Your role will involve assisting in new customer growth efforts, retaining existing customers, and reactivating former customers, ensuring a seamless transaction process for gas services. Collaboration is key in this role, as you will coordinate work with employees, builders, subcontractors, and gas advantage dealers to ensure that service delivery is efficient and meets customer expectations. You will also be expected to perform all other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the team and the company.

Responsibilities

  • Selling and promoting applicable TECO Partners marketing programs.
  • Adding new residential natural gas customers within the TECO Peoples Gas service areas.
  • Managing inbound and outbound telephone calls to existing, potential, and former residential customers.
  • Communicating the company's approved residential Energy Conservation rebate program.
  • Handling customer inquiries and requests effectively.
  • Assisting in new customer growth efforts, existing customer retention efforts, and former customer reactivation efforts.
  • Facilitating all aspects of the transaction to provide gas services for new, existing, and former residential customers.
  • Coordinating work with employees, builders, subcontractors, and gas advantage dealers.
  • Performing all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Valid High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of work experience related to the Duties & Responsibilities of this position.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, professionally, and courteously in sensitive and emotionally laden situations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of 2 years of direct work experience performing the Duties & Responsibilities of this position.
  • Knowledge of TECO Partners marketing and rebate programs.
