About the position

The Account Manager position at Koi CBD involves selling and providing guidance about products needed by wholesalers and distributors. This role is essential in developing and maintaining relationships with both potential and existing clients. The Account Manager will be responsible for identifying and locating new clients through various methods, including networking and cold calls. The position requires the development and implementation of sales strategies tailored to an assigned region or industry, ensuring that the products offered meet the specific needs of clients. In this role, the Account Manager will apply their knowledge of the field and product features to effectively match products to client needs. They will be the primary point of contact for clients, answering inquiries regarding products, their uses, and the broader industry context. The Account Manager will also provide clients with information, quotes, credit terms, and other bid specifications, negotiating prices, terms of sales, and service agreements as necessary. This includes preparing contracts and submitting orders, while collaborating with purchasing departments and other staff to ensure that orders are processed accurately and efficiently. Additionally, the Account Manager will periodically prepare and report results, status of accounts, and leads to their manager, and will perform other duties as assigned. This position does not have supervisory responsibilities but requires a proactive approach to client management and sales strategy execution.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains relationships with potential and existing clients.
  • Identifies and locates new clients through networking and cold calls.

  • Applies knowledge of the field and product features to match products to client needs.
  • Answers inquiries from clients concerning products, their uses, and the industry.
  • Provides information, quotes, credit terms, and other bid specifications to clients.
  • Negotiates prices, terms of sales, and/or service agreements; prepares contracts and submits orders.
  • Collaborates with purchasing departments, managers, and other staff to ensure accurate and efficient order processing.
  • Periodically prepares and reports results, status of accounts, and leads to manager.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of sales experience required.
  • High School diploma required; Associate degree preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
  • Organized with attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with clients.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
