About the position

The Account Manager/Inside Sales position involves managing customer relationships and sales activities for a distributor of power-related products. The role requires multitasking, technical customer service, and occasional territory visits, with a focus on generating quotes and following up with customers.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the inside sales contact for various territories in the USA and Mexico, handling quotations and technical customer service.
  • Manage key accounts and customer relationships effectively.
  • Generate quotes and follow up with potential and current customers.
  • Locate and contact potential customers in collaboration with independent sales representatives.
  • Schedule, organize, and prioritize work to meet customer deadlines.
  • Manage freight import and shipping documentation through a customs broker.
  • Negotiate pricing with suppliers and freight forwarders.
  • Approve freight bills for imports and prepaid shipments to customers by truck.
  • Coordinate production orders with warehouse staff and support the shipping manager with general issues.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of sales experience.
  • Minimum 4 years of proven leadership experience within a small or medium organization.
  • Ideally, experience in wholesale or distribution business of technical products.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Email, Word, Excel).
  • College degree preferred.
