About the position

The Account Manager at EarthWorks is a full-time role focused on managing client relationships in the landscaping and construction sector. This position involves direct interaction with customers to assess their needs, provide product information, and ensure overall client satisfaction. The role requires a blend of sales acumen, horticultural knowledge, and exceptional customer service skills to enhance the company's reputation and drive revenue growth.

Responsibilities

  • Scheduling appointments and meeting existing customers to review client needs and identify opportunities.
  • Conducting sales presentations and demonstrations of company products or services on-site.
  • Liaising between the company and customers regarding pricing, services, and product launches.
  • Generating and developing new business accounts through cold calling.
  • Updating customers on product modifications and enhancements.
  • Maintaining professionalism and tact in all customer interactions.
  • Attending conferences and trade shows to promote company services.
  • Using marketing data to maximize sales effectiveness with relevant tools.
  • Organizing joint sales calls with vendors and attending them.
  • Preparing sales and marketing reports and maintaining expense accounts.
  • Updating and maintaining customer accounts for future sales opportunities.
  • Ensuring quality of service and overall client satisfaction, with authority to take corrective actions up to $500 without prior approval.
  • Providing product quotes to customers as needed.
  • Following up on leads with complete customer profiles.

Requirements

  • 4 years of landscape and sales experience.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of safety operations and procedures.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and multitask.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to foster positive relationships with customers.
  • Current State of Texas Driver's License and own transportation.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the landscaping industry.
  • Ability to relocate to Houston, TX before starting work.
