About the position

The Local Marketing Solutions Account Manager is responsible for managing a portfolio of local business customers, focusing on setting up social, OOH, and digital campaigns. This role emphasizes both retention and business development, particularly in the agency market, and aims to position the Account Manager as a marketing consultant to help businesses leverage Time Out's solutions and expertise for success.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain ongoing relationships with venues to reaffirm their engagement with our products.
  • Provide day-to-day support by handling and resolving queries, ad-hoc requests, and complaints via various contact channels including phone, email, and in-person meetings.
  • Activate campaign activity, ensuring initial engagement with venues to enable their accounts and deliver training for specific product features including the content management system and performance dashboard.
  • Work with venues to optimize their listings and provide insights into client campaigns and ROI conversations.
  • Act as a first point of contact for resolving any issues affecting the performance and retention of customer accounts.
  • Ensure delivery of additional products within deadlines and in accordance with client requirements.
  • Create and uphold all payment schedules relating to client subscriptions.
  • Maintain an accurate contact activity log for all past, current, and future support tasks within the internal CRM system.
  • Contact clients weekly from 20 to 35 per week, focusing on trust building and in-depth analysis of upcoming marketing activities.
  • Upsell additional products and services to clients and add additional venue subscriptions to bolster the portfolio.
  • Manage a new business portfolio of restaurant/bar/things to do groups and generate additional revenue through these relationships.
  • Meet revenue and retention targets and individual MBOs every month.
  • Provide regular business information on retention figures and important client developments, including weekly sales forecasts and pipeline management.

Requirements

  • Strong commercial acumen is desired.
  • Solid copywriting experience.
  • Ideally some knowledge of video and video editing skills including Photoshop.
  • Experience working with PR companies is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of general business principles and practice.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft and Google products.
  • Passion and enthusiasm coupled with a great customer service ethic and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent spoken and written English.
  • Ability to work well under pressure coupled with good time management and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to manage results through others and maintain a positive, productive work environment.
  • A good knowledge of New York as a city (social trends/areas/upcoming events).

  • Salary of $70,000 plus commission
