About the position

As an Account Manager at Melexis, you will be responsible for driving sales and new business development in the West Region, which includes California, the Pacific Northwest, and Mexico. This strategic role focuses on engaging leading mass market electronics companies to foster sustainable business growth across various sectors, including Industrial Controls, Alternative Mobility, Robotics, Sustainable Energy, and Digital Health.

Responsibilities

  • Support sales and business development by identifying growing markets and trends.
  • Manage identified accounts in the territory and drive sales objectives.
  • Present to purchasing staff, engineers, and management at accounts in a professional setting.
  • Manage sales representatives and channel partners to drive new customer identification and expansion.
  • Utilize resources from contracted sales representatives and distributors for rapid growth.
  • Provide customer support by responding to technical and commercial questions.
  • Provide market feedback on the competitive environment and new product ideas.
  • Discuss design issues and present technical benefits of products.
  • Maintain the Salesforce CRM database with accurate customer and channel information.
  • Prepare accurate forecasts of business for capacity planning and sales prioritization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Applied Physics.
  • Five or more years of position-related experience in a technical, customer-facing role.
  • Working knowledge of circuits and ability to engage in system-level discussions with customers.
  • Experience in semiconductors or a similar industry is highly desirable.
  • Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to summarize difficult technical issues clearly and concisely.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Tenacious ability to prospect new business.
  • Ability to engage others and provide top-notch customer service.
  • Self-starter who can work autonomously without proximity supervision.
  • Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment.
