About the position

The Account Manager is responsible for developing and executing market strategies to achieve and maintain the desired market position with assigned territory accounts. This role focuses on increasing truck and aftermarket sales and profits while providing comprehensive material handling solutions to customers. The Account Manager will work closely with local management and internal departments to enhance sales volume and gross profit year over year.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute market strategies for assigned territory accounts.
  • Increase overall revenues of OEM New Sales Equipment, Used Equipment Sales, and Dealer Aftermarket products.
  • Enhance visibility and market share for unit and aftermarket sales for current and new customers.
  • Source and provide the best material handling solutions for new and existing customers.
  • Develop strategic plans in collaboration with local management to ensure market position and increase sales volume.
  • Call on current and target accounts, develop sales presentations, and ensure excellent customer service.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer profiles and update all interactions with accounts.
  • Collaborate with branch management and internal departments regarding receivables and allied equipment.
  • Ensure timely follow-up with customers and internal staff to prioritize communication.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
  • 2 - 5 years of proven sales experience, preferably in outside sales.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products; prior knowledge of CRM systems is a plus.
  • Must be certified or willing to become certified on the safe operation of a lift truck.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential.
