About the position

The Account Manager for Residential and C&I Midstream HVAC is responsible for driving sales and managing accounts within the HVAC energy efficiency sector. This role involves engaging with key stakeholders in the distributor and retailer supply chains, developing and managing a project pipeline for utility customers, and supporting program operations through data analysis and client support. The position emphasizes relationship building, program awareness, and achieving participation goals in energy efficiency programs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with major local, regional and national distributors, suppliers, contractors, and manufacturers.
  • Track and report on outreach efforts and results including savings delivered by each participant.
  • Cultivate and develop new relationships and partnerships with contractors and professional organizations.
  • Maintain strong ongoing communications with participants and other interested stakeholders.
  • Prepare and present program requirements and training presentations.
  • Assist program manager with the development and implementation of promotional strategies.
  • Prepare ongoing status reports to document performance and activities.
  • Review and analyze QA/QC data for projects reported to client.
  • Analyze market trends and technologies for midstream programs.
  • Travel locally within Northern/Eastern Indiana and Southwestern Michigan.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Communications, Energy, Building Sciences or related disciplines (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years of outside sales, business development experience, or client engagement.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check.

Nice-to-haves

  • Industry experience in Energy Efficiency or HVAC outside sales and/or business development.
  • Experience selling and managing accounts in HVAC equipment supply chains.
  • Experience managing successful energy efficiency opportunities with contractors, distributors, or commercial customers.
  • Proficiency in developing and implementing data collection and reporting processes.
  • Established relationships in mechanical, building material or electrical equipment distribution and sales.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Dynamics, Word, Outlook, Excel).
