About the position

The Account Manager for Multiomics & Synthesis at GENEWIZ by Azenta is responsible for driving sales and account management within the Boston territory. This role focuses on developing customer relationships, achieving sales targets, and expanding market penetration for the multiomics and synthetic biology portfolio. The Account Manager will leverage their expertise in genomics to provide tailored solutions to clients, ensuring high-quality service and support.

Responsibilities

  • Handle sales and account management activities for assigned locations, defining and driving sales strategies.
  • Own and drive the territory development plan for assigned sales territories, collaborating with stakeholders and coordinating resources.
  • Deliver impactful outcomes by leveraging a deep understanding of workflows within drug discovery and development.
  • Utilize consultative selling techniques to add value and innovate products and services for customers.
  • Exceed quarterly and annual sales targets by building and managing a robust sales pipeline.
  • Drive growth by acquiring new customers and expanding market penetration within existing accounts.
  • Provide forecasts, weekly reports, and marketing intelligence to managers and stakeholders.
  • Close sales deals through strategic approaches and effective account management.
  • Maintain customer and account information in the CRM system for accurate visibility and tracking.
  • Collaborate within a team environment to deliver customer-centric value and drive revenue growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Life Sciences field.
  • 3+ years of relevant Genomics or Synthetic Biology experience in a commercial role.
  • Proven track record of success in account management and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of the Genomics industry and its challenges.
  • Familiarity with sequencing, synthetic biology, cell and gene therapies, and molecular biology lab techniques.
  • Experience working in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated history of implementing successful strategies in customer interactions.
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in maintaining opportunity pipelines using CRM tools like Salesforce.
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Valid driver's license.
