About the position

Veolia Water Technologies Dayton is currently seeking an Account Manager to support the Oil & Gas business in the Midland/Odessa TX area. This position is crucial for developing strong working relationships with customers at all levels within the account. The Account Manager will provide technical support to customers, develop solutions to resolve customer issues, and improve customer reliability and profitability. This role involves training customers and field personnel, providing guidance and establishing standards, managing and documenting performance, and developing associated recommendations. The Account Manager will also handle special projects as assigned and support field staff by providing technical assistance in various areas including chemical delivery requests, field sampling goals, chemical inventory, and rate control. The position requires the Account Manager to use sample results to provide comprehensive feedback and recommendations to customers, alter product dosage rates, and ensure that all customer-defined objectives are met. Effective communication is key, as the Account Manager will confirm the effective use of electronic equipment for processing reports, developing spreadsheets, and managing customer databases. All weekly and monthly activities must be recorded within the customers' reporting portal. The role also involves managing communications from customers to technicians and management to ensure requests are handled efficiently. Additionally, the Account Manager will play a key role in meetings with senior managers to develop sales strategies, plans, and schedules. They will assist in the development and implementation of sales strategies to increase sales and profits through major accounts, prospecting and growing sales outside of the current customer base. This will be achieved through the development and implementation of an individual sales strategy, identifying resource requirements, and forecasting shop loading. Safety is paramount, and the Account Manager must work safely and comply with all safety requirements and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strong working relationships with customers at all levels within the account.
  • Provide technical support to customer(s).
  • Develop solutions to resolve customer issues/improve customer reliability/profitability.
  • Responsible for training customer(s) and field personnel.
  • Provide guidance and training to field staff, establish standards, manage and document performance and develop associated recommendations.
  • Handle special projects, as assigned.
  • Support field staff by providing technical assistance and managing chemical delivery requests, field sampling goals, chemical inventory, chemical pumps, and rate control.
  • Use sample results to provide comprehensive feedback and/or recommendations to the customers.
  • Alter product dosage rates and/or change product applications to meet customer-defined objectives.
  • Ensure all customer's KPIs are met, referring to each customer's individual KPIs.
  • Confirm effective use of electronic equipment for communicating, processing reports, developing spreadsheets, and managing customer databases.
  • Ensure all weekly and monthly activities are recorded within the customers' reporting portal.
  • Manage or coordinate communications from customers to techs and/or management to ensure their requests are being handled.
  • Provide counsel and play a key role in meetings with senior managers to develop sales strategies, plans, and schedules.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of sales strategies to increase sales and profits through major accounts.
  • Prospect and grow sales outside of the current customer base through the development and implementation of an individual sales strategy.
  • Identify resource requirements and forecast shop loading.
  • Work safely and comply with all safety requirements and regulations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, college preferred.
  • Must be proficient with MS Office.
  • 3 - 5 years of related work experience.
  • Capability to operate a forklift & pumping equipment.
  • Valid CDL HAZMAT endorsement.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations.
  • Basic mechanical skills.
  • Physically capable of loading and unloading items up to 75 lbs.
