About the position

The Account Manager at Nidec Motor Corporation serves as the primary liaison between the company and key customer accounts. This role focuses on securing new business opportunities while also maintaining and expanding existing relationships with customers. The Account Manager is responsible for understanding customer needs, resolving issues, and developing strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and drive sales growth.

Responsibilities

  • Seek and secure new business opportunities with key customer accounts
  • Maintain and expand existing business with customer accounts
  • Act as a liaison between customer demands and plant demands
  • Create relationships with principal key accounts to foster future collaboration
  • Resolve all issues to the complete satisfaction of the customer
  • Create a database of customer knowledge to inform sales strategy
  • Work with the Sales Administrator to manage sales forecasts and resolve commercial issues

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Basic knowledge of all business disciplines
  • Strong math aptitude
  • Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
  • Strong attention to detail and customer-focused
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to effectively manage time and resources
  • Analytical thinker/problem solver
  • Highly organized and accountable
