About the position

The Account Manager for Strategic Partnerships (Optical Channel) at EssilorLuxottica is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies aimed at growing top line sales through relationships with key influencers in the Independent channel. This role involves building strong partnerships, communicating the company's value proposition, and optimizing sales growth by bridging communication between external partners and internal management.

Responsibilities

  • Fosters strong relationships and provides ongoing support to key partners from both the Alliance and Buying Groups.
  • Implements and monitors annual partnership and sponsorship programs with territory-based strategic partners.
  • Uses competitive knowledge on the independent channel of trade to recommend opportunities to gain market share.
  • Liaises between Sales Force and Strategic Partners to maximize opportunities in the field.
  • Operates as a lead point of contact for any and all matters specific to assigned customers.
  • Conducts trainings for strategic partners and their members for consistent messaging.
  • Supports the business management of all Strategic Partnerships within assigned territory.
  • Gives presentations on enhanced practice management and market trends to large groups of doctors and opticians.
  • Supports quarterly promotions to management by understanding brand and business objectives and incorporating input from the sales team.
  • Ensures timely and successful delivery of solutions according to customers' needs and objectives.
  • Develops new businesses with existing clients and identifies areas of improvement to exceed sales quotas.
  • Identifies and grows opportunities within territory and collaborates with sales teams to ensure growth attainment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years of experience working in an account management function or similar role in the optical industry
  • Strong comfort level with public speaking
  • Strong analytical ability
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically, yet deliver strong execution
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to interact and negotiate effectively at all levels of the organization as well as with customers
  • Strong initiative and sense of urgency
  • Ability to quickly generate and initiate creative solutions to problems as they arise
  • Ability to solve various types of problems that may involve multiple departments within the Company
  • Strong computer skills; Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to travel and ability to drive a company automobile
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver's license and insurable driving record
