About the position

The Sales Representative position at Sun Ophthalmics is crucial for representing a sales organization dedicated to ethical practices and customer service excellence. This role involves building strong relationships with healthcare professionals (HCPs) and delivering educational messages about Sun Ophthalmics products and therapeutic areas. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment, demonstrating leadership and a commitment to achieving business goals.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with target HCPs.
• Deliver MLR approved, education-focused messages to target HCPs.
• Conduct business planning and execution to enhance HCP awareness of Sun Ophthalmics products.
• Equip HCPs with tools to facilitate patient education about the assigned therapeutic area.
• Build HCP knowledge and confidence in identifying treatment gaps.
• Increase awareness of the assigned therapeutic area and assist HCPs in identifying treatment gaps in diagnosed patients.
• Achieve call activity and adherence targets, as well as financial goals for the assigned territory.

Requirements

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree required, preferably in a scientific field.
• Two or more years of pharmaceutical sales experience or equivalent preferred.
• Two or more years of specialty pharmaceutical experience or equivalent, preferably in the assigned therapeutic area.
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of healthcare institutions and commercial managed care.
• Experience selling within healthcare institutions preferred.
• Eye Care/Ophthalmology experience preferred.
• Ability to travel domestically as necessary, including overnight travel.
