About the position

TruckPro is seeking an Account Manager-Outside Sales who will be responsible for promoting and selling heavy duty truck parts to customers within a designated territory. This role is crucial for maintaining and increasing sales to existing customers while also identifying and establishing new accounts. The Account Manager will be expected to maintain and grow strategic accounts at the local level, ensuring that customer needs are met and exceeded. The position requires the development and execution of effective sales plans and goals, as well as the continuous improvement of selling skills and technical knowledge related to all TruckPro products, services, and processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in outside sales or account management, particularly within the heavy duty truck parts industry. They will be expected to utilize Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools, such as Salesforce, to track and manage customer interactions and sales activities. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, are essential for success in this role, as is a commitment to outstanding customer service. The Account Manager will also be provided with a company vehicle to facilitate travel within their assigned territory, and they will be part of a unique company culture that values its employees and promotes personal development and future opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and increase sales to existing customers in assigned territory.
  • Identify and establish new accounts.
  • Maintain and grow strategic accounts at the local level.
  • Develop and execute sales plans and goals.
  • Maintain and upgrade selling skills and technical/product knowledge for all TruckPro products, services, and processes.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in outside sales or account management.
  • Knowledge/experience in heavy duty truck parts.
  • Proficiency in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools, such as Salesforce.
  • Understanding and utilization of Sales Force Effectiveness (SFE) principles.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
