About the position

The Account Manager/Outside Sales Representative at Yarde Metals is responsible for developing and maintaining business relationships within the Vermont/New Hampshire territory. This role involves strategic collaboration with sales and marketing teams to identify growth opportunities and ensure customer satisfaction through quality products and services. The position requires a strong focus on account retention and sales growth, as well as effective communication and interpersonal skills to build value-added partnerships with customers.

Responsibilities

• Develop an account retention and sales growth plan.
• Build strong, value-added business partnerships with customers.
• Identify customer requirements and present products, services, and programs to satisfy those requirements.
• Collaborate with Branch Manager, Product Managers, and the Inside Sales team to increase sales and secure contractual opportunities.
• Prepare itineraries, call logs, expense reports and update customer account information.
• Assist the credit department in managing accounts receivable and collections.
• Consult with marketing on promotional initiatives.

Requirements

• High school graduate, college degree preferred.
• Minimum (3) years sales experience in the metals industry.
• Proven success in account management.
• Experience directly related to the duties of the position.
• Strong command of the English language with effective platform and communication skills.
• Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Professional presentation.
• Valid driver's license with clean MVR; must operate a company vehicle approximately 70% of the time.
