About the position

The Account Manager/Outside Sales Representative is responsible for selling construction services and solutions by building relationships with customers, identifying opportunities, and coordinating with the local operations team. This role involves engaging with clients, managing leads, and ensuring effective communication to meet client needs and project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Make cold calls in the designated territory.
• Develop and identify prospects from current clients, referral leads, and other sources.
• Lead or participate in presentations to new clients.
• Establish and maintain effective contact with clients.
• Identify new work leads and manage lead follow-up, record keeping, and information distribution.
• Learn to estimate jobs.
• Meet with client management, staff, and supervisory personnel to explain the company's capabilities.
• Notify management of sales activities and timing for proposals and bids.
• Determine client needs and evaluate company resources accordingly.
• Represent the company during client and project management meetings.
• Plan, coordinate, and supervise onsite functions such as scheduling and material control.
• Interface with all on-site work groups to resolve problems and ensure quality of construction.
• Assist in the development and implementation of the Strategic Marketing Plan and sales objectives.
• Perform additional assignments as directed by the supervisor.

Requirements

• Comfortable in a highly visible role to potential and current customers.
• Ability to influence and persuade clients effectively.
• Willingness to learn the sales process and successfully close sales.
• Enjoys meeting people and resolving business issues.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record required.
• Ability to pass pre-employment and random substance screenings.
