As an Account Manager at Applied Industrial Technologies, you will play a crucial role in our commitment to providing exceptional service and products to our customers. This position is centered around relationship-based sales, where you will be responsible for building and managing your own book of business within an established territory. In this dynamic role, you will be tasked with achieving sales and profit goals by not only developing new business but also nurturing existing customer relationships. This will involve conducting sales and service activities, identifying product applications, and introducing new products and services to your clients. You will prepare quotations and proposals, negotiate terms, and close transactions, all while maintaining strong communication with your customers. Additionally, you will organize and conduct training sessions to ensure that your clients are well-informed about the products and services we offer. Your responsibilities will also include surveying market and competitive conditions, completing reports on itineraries, expenses, sales calls, leads, and other related matters. You will need to monitor customer complaints, follow up on outstanding orders, and be prepared to make emergency calls, night calls, and deliveries as required. This role reports directly to the General Manager, providing you with the support and guidance needed to excel in your position.
