As an Account Manager - Outside Sales at Airgas, you will play a crucial role in driving sales of welding products and industrial gases across the Portland, OR and Vancouver, WA regions. This position offers a competitive base salary ranging from $67,724 to $75,864 annually, with an uncapped commission structure that targets a 70/30 base to commission ratio. You will be required to travel throughout your designated territory using your personal vehicle, for which a monthly car allowance of $550 will be provided along with mileage and expense reimbursements. In this role, you will be responsible for advising customers on a variety of products including tools, hardware, abrasive products, and safety equipment such as goggles, helmets, and welding jackets. Your primary focus will be on building and maintaining strong relationships with both prospective and existing customers to enhance sales and profitability. You will collaborate closely with Airgas product specialists and branch personnel to deliver value-added resources that meet customer needs. Your responsibilities will include actively pursuing new accounts, managing customer inquiries related to billing and order status, and ensuring timely follow-up on all customer interactions. You will also be tasked with completing sales-related paperwork and conducting annual sales analysis and forecasts for management. Additionally, you will schedule joint sales calls with vendors and product specialists to maximize sales opportunities and customer satisfaction.
