About the position

As a Sales Account Manager with CK, this individual will be responsible for ensuring customer retention through relationship building while demonstrating a passion to be the best in the industry. This position is responsible for selling our portfolio of industrial gases, welding consumables, capital equipment and dry ice into a variety of different markets including but not limited to Fabrication, Food/Beverage, Pharmaceuticals, and Chemicals.

Responsibilities

  • Provide existing Customer Account Management to include managing customer relationships, customer value creation, wallet share growth, and profit management.
  • Develop New Business by selling our portfolio of product, equipment and services to amenable market, including new-to-market and competitive account prospects using a strong emphasis on basic prospecting (high rate of daily call activity), and expeditious direct marketing follow up.
  • Implement strategies to grow value-add processes and services.
  • Expand sales territory consistent with company goals.
  • Gather and collect data for each assigned account and prospect.
  • Monitor and provide status of A/R on assigned accounts to credit manager.
  • Provide weekly sales and prospect itinerary to General Manager.
  • Coordinate pricing and discuss quotes and leads with respective manager.
  • Be comfortable in the role of cold calling or developing new business.
  • Consult with General Manager regarding pricing issues.
  • Attend Industry-Related Association Meetings (minimum 3 per year).
  • Attend and participate in all required sales meetings.
  • Represent CK in a professional manner in assigned territory.
  • Follow and enforce all safety guidelines and requirements including proper personal protective equipment for employees and visitors.
  • Adhere to the CK Core Values through behavior and words.
  • Other duties, as assigned, within the job classification and business.

Requirements

  • Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3 years of previous sales experience, preferably in the industrial and/or welding profession.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with clean driving record to meet company insurance eligibility requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills are required.
  • Possessing a 'Can Do' attitude is required.
  • Must be comfortable working within a highly competitive market.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Be comfortable in a value-added solution-selling environment.
  • Must be willing to be held accountable for performance.
  • Ability to grasp team selling of technical applications.
  • Must have good grasp of business concepts (i.e.: gross margin, ROA, ROI, NIBT).
  • Must have strong negotiation skills.
