About the position

Laux Sporting Goods is seeking an Account Manager/Outside Sales professional to manage relationships with K-12 schools, little leagues, and amateur sports organizations. This role involves executing the full sales cycle, optimizing customer support, and maximizing sales opportunities in a hybrid work environment. The Account Manager will represent various brands while upholding the company's core values and ethical standards.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand our customer base.
  • Actively develop and qualify leads to drive additional sales opportunities through cold-calling and lead-generation campaigns.
  • Generate revenue and meet sales/growth targets.
  • Increase sales in existing accounts by selling to all sports at all levels.
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of accounts through effective communication, follow-up, and problem-solving.
  • Utilize practical communication skills to establish and maintain relationships with customers and coaches, listening to their needs and providing expert guidance and support.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, product knowledge, and competitor activity to provide valuable insights and recommendations to customers.
  • Monitor and analyze sales data to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies, identify new trends and opportunities to increase sales and profitability.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of customer interactions, orders, and account information and activity tracking in our CRM system to support sales and customer relationship efforts.
  • Manage your account list and travel on location within your assigned territory.
  • Continuously strive to meet and exceed sales targets and customer satisfaction goals.

Requirements

  • 3 years of experience in B2B sales, preferably in sporting goods or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and CRM software.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience within the licensed sporting goods, headwear, or apparel industries.
  • Demonstrated local community involvement.
