About the position

Mercury Telecom is seeking a qualified B2B sales representative to grow our existing customer base and introduce new opportunities in the Flint market. This position involves offering phone service, phone solutions, internet, and alarm monitoring to commercial businesses in Michigan. The successful applicant will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to enhance the organization's business and market share through our approved sales methodology. This role requires a proactive approach to prospecting, including networking, referrals, and cold calling, with appropriate follow-up to secure appointments. In addition to prospecting, the Account Manager will work closely with business partners to identify target accounts and achieve specific goals for closing new business. The role includes planning, coordinating, and executing sales presentations aimed at informing, persuading, educating, and ultimately closing business deals. Collaboration with provisioning and customer support teams is essential to keep them informed of customer needs and ensure a seamless customer experience. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated and possess a basic understanding of technology, particularly in a dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base. Familiarity with VoIP concepts and hosted technology is preferred. Strong presentation skills and the ability to communicate professionally, both verbally and in written correspondence, are crucial. The candidate should be organized and analytical, capable of overcoming sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches. Attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential for success in this role. Prioritization skills are also necessary to manage tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to grow the organization's business and market share through approved sales methodology.
  • Prospect aggressively to develop new business partners through networking, referrals, and cold calling; follow up appropriately to obtain appointments.
  • Work with business partners to identify target accounts and achieve specific goals for closing new business.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute sales presentations to inform, persuade, educate, and ultimately close business.
  • Work closely with provisioning and customer support, keeping them informed of customer needs.
  • Maintain complete customer documentation and appropriate customer and prospect information in the company's CRM database.

Requirements
