About the position

The Account Manager / Outside Sales Representative at Valve Sales Inc. is responsible for developing relationships and generating sales across a defined geographic area, primarily focusing on Supply Houses, MRO Accounts, Processing Plants, OEMs, and Skid Manufacturers. This role involves performing technical presentations and engaging with decision-makers to promote the company's products and solutions, while also working closely with executive management to set revenue goals and KPIs.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned sales geography
• Work with executive management to develop annual revenue goals, KPIs, and targets
• Develop and perform technical presentations to engineers or appropriate decision makers
• Engage in sales activities and build relationships with clients
• Recognize and establish expertise in VSI products and competitors' brands
• Perform other related duties and projects as assigned

Requirements

• BS Degree in Engineering, Industrial Distribution, or similar field or 7+ years of Engineered Product Sales experience
• Technical knowledge of Logic Controls, Regulators, Control Valves, and Service
• Familiarity with Norriseal Wellmark products
• Understanding of sizing, selection, and applications engineering of valve and automation products
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge and experience with major accounts across the Marcellus
• Understanding of industry governing agencies such as ASME, National Board of Boiler & Pressure Vessel Inspectors, API, ATEX, FM, CSA, PED
