About the position

The Account Manager at Heartland Coca-Cola Bottling Company is responsible for managing customer accounts by selling and ordering products, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining product availability. This role involves direct interaction with customers, inventory management, and collaboration with internal teams to meet sales targets and uphold company standards.

Responsibilities

  • Orders product at accounts on an assigned sales route.
  • Determines product needs and places and transmits appropriate orders for each account.
  • Utilizes technology for order processing and inventory management.
  • Executes and sells big event marketing, pillar programming, innovation, and mandated features to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • May sell in Customer Marketing Agreements (CMA).
  • Builds, changes, and removes product displays and Point of Sale (POS) materials.
  • Ensures proper pricing and cleans product space.
  • Secures damaged or defective products and repacks when possible.
  • Transports, replaces, and maintains POS advertising as appropriate for the account.
  • Communicates account activities with customers to ensure quality service.
  • Collaborates with merchandisers and drivers to maintain communication about goals and projects.
  • Ensures adherence to merchandising and customer service standards.
  • Stocks and merchandises products in allocated beverage sections including coolers and racks.
  • Maintains end-to-end ownership of the account through appropriate actions and communication.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED is required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of work experience required.
  • Customer service experience in a retail environment or sales position preferred.
  • Basic computer application and technology skills required.
  • Valid Driver's License and current vehicle liability insurance required.
  • Driving record must be within policy guidelines with no major violations in the last three years.
  • Must be open to a flexible schedule and may be required to work some holidays.
