About the position

The Account Manager at Hoist & Crane Service Group is responsible for building and maintaining long-term relationships with clients in the industrial manufacturing sector. This role involves overseeing a portfolio of customers, developing new business opportunities, and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication and service delivery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, particularly in the heavy machinery and equipment repair industry, and will be skilled in managing accounts and meeting sales quotas.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee a portfolio of assigned customers and develop new business from existing clients.
  • Actively seek new sales opportunities and meet ambitious individual and team-wide sales quotas.
  • Increase profitable sales revenue through scheduled consultations, cold sales calls, and various marketing methods.
  • Offer a full inventory of equipment repair and services to new and current customers.
  • Liaise with cross-functional internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and improve the customer experience.
  • Execute paperwork, quotes, and various correspondences in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Maintain consistent and professional follow-up and communication with clients.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Management, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Basic understanding of all types of heavy equipment repair and maintenance.
  • Excellent phone and communication skills.
  • General knowledge and understanding of crane service business.
  • Experience in industrial sales.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and detail-oriented.
  • Strong organizational skills and documentation skills.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of overhead cranes and other types of heavy machinery.
  • Familiarity with account management software (CRM).
  • Understanding of consumer behavior.
