About the position

The Account Manager for Regional Client Accounts at HealthStream is responsible for managing a portfolio of large health system customers. This role focuses on retention, expansion, and upselling of services, executing sales processes, and driving business development to achieve annual recurring revenue (ARR) growth. The Account Manager will collaborate with various teams to ensure successful execution of corporate initiatives and maintain strong executive-level relationships with clients.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all HealthStream security policies, procedures, and assigned training.
  • Attain revenue targets as set by the sales organization.
  • Execute on the retention and growth of assigned accounts.
  • Expand and maintain executive-level relationships.
  • Develop, document, and gain agreement on the account sales strategy.
  • Generate new contacts, leads, and opportunities within assigned accounts.
  • Maintain a pipeline of qualified, active opportunities and manage them to closure.
  • Orchestrate internal and external resources throughout the customer lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with Solution Executives and other functional groups on an organization-wide account management plan and oversee its execution.
  • Participate in senior-level planning sessions.
  • Provide detailed account and renewal plans on all assigned accounts.
  • Partner with Success Management for Quarterly Business Reviews and product adoption initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Five to seven years of experience successfully selling SaaS solutions into Acute healthcare systems, including three to five years of global or strategic account management experience.
  • Five to seven years of relevant healthcare industry experience, preferably with large multi-facility systems.
  • Five to seven years of relevant product experience selling into healthcare executives, such as CHRO's, CNO's, CIO's.
  • In-depth knowledge of global account management best practices, including account planning and executive relationship development.
  • Experience with RFI/RFP processes highly desirable.
  • Solid computer skills, including proficiency in Office Suite and CRM tools such as Salesforce.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team selling environment and communicate well with all levels of personnel.
