About the position

The Account Manager for Retail SMB Business Sales at Verizon is responsible for introducing small and medium business customers to innovative 5G products and services tailored to their unique needs. This role involves engaging with customers both in-store and digitally, driving sales through prospecting and networking, and utilizing solutions-based selling techniques to enhance business operations. The position emphasizes building and maintaining customer relationships while mentoring retail sales representatives to achieve small business results.

Responsibilities

  • Introduce small and medium business customers to 5G products and services.
  • Interact with customers in retail stores, digitally, and through outbound prospecting.
  • Demonstrate the value of products and services by providing end-to-end technology solutions.
  • Generate new business through prospecting, networking, and referrals.
  • Partner with and mentor Consumer Retail Sales Representatives to drive small business results.
  • Acquire and retain accounts in the small business segment.
  • Utilize solutions-based selling techniques to address customer business problems.
  • Conduct outbound sales prospecting and customer visits.
  • Service the needs of the existing customer base.
  • Use sales enablement systems and tools to manage pipeline and book of business.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in sales, marketing, or customer service.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Willingness to travel.

  • Outside sales experience including outbound prospecting.
  • Wireless sales experience exceeding quota.
