About the position

The Account Manager Retail SMB - Business Sales role at Verizon involves introducing small and medium business customers to innovative 5G products and services tailored to their unique needs. This position requires engaging with customers both in retail stores and digitally, demonstrating the value of Verizon's technology solutions, and driving business results through prospecting and networking. The role also includes supporting vacant store locations and mentoring Consumer Retail Sales Representatives to enhance sales performance.

Responsibilities

  • Introduce small and medium business customers to 5G products and services.
  • Interact with customers in retail stores and digitally.
  • Demonstrate the value of products and services through technology solutions.
  • Generate new business through prospecting, networking, and referrals.
  • Support vacant store locations within a given territory.
  • Grow customer base by acquiring and retaining accounts in the small business segment.
  • Utilize solutions-based selling techniques to address business problems.
  • Service the needs of the existing customer base.
  • Use sales enablement systems to track and manage pipeline and book of business.
  • Follow up with customers who interacted in store.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in sales, marketing, or customer service.
  • Ability to remain flexible and adapt to business needs.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Willingness to travel.

Nice-to-haves

  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree or related certifications/college courses.
  • Outside sales experience including outbound prospecting.
  • Wireless sales experience exceeding quota.
  • Experience influencing a team to drive sales results.
  • Capability to drive positive results in a team environment.
  • Strong people skills for influencing, negotiating, and conflict resolution.
