About the position

The Field Sales Account Manager for Retail SMB at Verizon is responsible for introducing small and medium business customers to innovative 5G products and services that cater to their specific business needs. This role involves engaging with customers both in retail stores and digitally, demonstrating the value of Verizon's technology solutions, and driving business results through prospecting and networking. The position also requires supporting vacant store locations and mentoring Consumer Retail Sales Representatives to enhance sales performance.

Responsibilities

  • Introduce small and medium business customers to 5G products and services.
  • Interact with customers in retail stores and digitally.
  • Demonstrate the value of products and services through technology solutions.
  • Generate new business through prospecting, networking, and referrals.
  • Support vacant store locations within a given territory.
  • Grow customer base by acquiring and retaining small business accounts.
  • Utilize solutions-based selling techniques to address customer business problems.
  • Service the needs of the existing customer base.
  • Track, forecast, and manage pipeline and book of business using sales enablement tools.
  • Follow up with customers who interacted in-store.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in sales, marketing, or customer service.
  • Ability to remain flexible and adapt to business needs.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Willingness to travel.

Nice-to-haves

  • Associate or Bachelor's Degree or related certifications/college courses.
  • Outside sales experience including outbound prospecting.
  • Wireless sales experience exceeding quota.
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish languages.
  • Experience influencing a team to drive sales results.
  • Capability to drive positive results in a team environment.
  • Strong people skills for influencing, negotiating, and conflict resolution.
