About the position

The Account Manager, Sales position at Mauser Packaging Solutions involves sourcing new sales opportunities nationwide, managing a sales territory, and maintaining customer relationships. The role requires a proactive approach to increase sales volume and customer retention while collaborating with the corporate sales team to develop business opportunities. The Account Manager will utilize Salesforce software to manage accounts and ensure achievement of sales goals, while also staying informed about industry trends and competitor strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Source new sales opportunities nationwide through lead follow-up, cold calls, and emails.
  • Proactively manage territory to increase sales volume and customer retention.
  • Maintain a high level of sales activity by conducting a minimum number of sales appointments.
  • Work closely with the corporate sales team to understand objectives and develop business opportunities.
  • Create territory plans, pricing, and understand business decisions impacting Mauser Packaging Solutions.
  • Understand competitors' products, processes, and capabilities to leverage knowledge for business benefit.
  • Meet with customers regularly to build and maintain positive relationships and provide product, pricing, and service information.
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge about product and industry trends.
  • Utilize Salesforce software daily to update and manage accounts and new business activities.
  • Review performance metrics to ensure achievement of monthly sales, revenue, and margin goals.
  • Attend sales meetings and trade shows to stay current on industry trends.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in sales, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with large territories is a plus.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement territory strategies.
  • Successful negotiation and implementation of supply agreements.
  • Strong leadership, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with Salesforce.com.
  • Comprehensive understanding of financial business and data analysis.
  • Self-motivated in a fast-paced changing environment.
