About the position

The Account Manager/Sales role at Safe Harbor Marinas involves developing and establishing relationships with yacht owners, managers, and other key stakeholders to facilitate yacht repair, maintenance, and refit work. This position requires collaboration with technical experts and trade resources to create actionable plans and manage customer expectations effectively. The role includes regular travel to vessel locations in Florida for marketing and inspections, as well as managing sales pipelines and proposals for yacht projects.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and establish relationships with yacht owners, managers, captains, and engineers.
  • Travel regularly to vessel locations in Florida to market services and perform inspections.
  • Document progress and sales pipeline milestones in the CRM system.
  • Compile and submit detailed estimates for yacht refit/repair projects.
  • Manage relationships with yacht owners and engineers to understand service needs.
  • Partner with Project Developers and Trade Managers to provide technical solutions.
  • Review technical specifications and engineering drawings.
  • Analyze subcontractor and vendor quotes for compliance with specifications.
  • Formulate proposals with itemized work descriptions and cost estimates.
  • Present final proposals to customers and obtain project authorization.
  • Communicate with customers to manage expectations during service execution.
  • Assist project manager in selling additional work during the project lifecycle.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior marina experience preferred.
  • Previous customer service experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift 10 pounds.
