About the position

The Sales Account Development role within the SLED organization at Lumen is focused on driving sales and increasing brand awareness in a designated geographic territory. The position involves developing relationships with prospective enterprise customers, managing existing accounts, and implementing strategic sales plans to maximize revenue. The role requires a proactive approach to identify new sales opportunities and maintain strong customer relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Develop sales in the designated target market(s) by identifying new sales opportunities with prospective enterprise customers through cold calling, premise visits, networking, lead generation, proposal submission, and customer appointments.
  • Manage customer relationships to gain strategic positioning with decision makers, retain existing revenue, and obtain additional business after winning new accounts.
  • Develop and implement sales plans that provide clearly defined strategies, tactics, and timeframes to maximize revenue in the assigned territory.
  • Continuously learn and develop knowledge of new technologies and selling points, enhancing expertise in the company's products and solutions.
  • Utilize Siebel & Salesforce.com to provide accurate and detailed weekly forecasts of identified and proposed opportunities to meet or exceed sales quota requirements.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of sales experience within the Telecommunications/Technology Industry.
  • Proven experience in solution selling IP, data, and voice network services.
  • Proven experience in hunting, prospecting, and new account development.
  • Experience with Salesforce.com preferred.
  • Demonstrated strong communication, written, and formal presentation skills, with the ability to sell to the close.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, results-oriented professional with the ability to work with minimum direction.
  • Proficient in MS Office products: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Attention to detail with good organizational capabilities.
  • Ability to prioritize with good time management skills.
