About the position

The Account Manager is responsible for developing business opportunities at the store level with assigned customers by executing the overall sales strategy. This role focuses on ensuring the long-term success of Wis-Pak Brands by enhancing existing product portfolios and promoting nationally recognized beverage brands. The position requires effective selling and development of beverage brands at retail, particularly in the Kansas City market.

Responsibilities

  • Increase the sales of the Wis-Pak Brands within their designated Territory.
  • Build and maintain long-term trusting relationships with store associates, store managers, category managers, and distributors.
  • Ensure product look and display is consistent with brand strategy, plan-o-gram compliance, and overall appearance standards.
  • Ensure product is properly priced and POP is compliant.
  • Provide routine market intelligence on current market conditions and opportunities affecting sales or category share.
  • Collect and report information on competitive product and service offerings to management.
  • Participate in distributor meetings regularly.
  • Communicate all assigned reports on position activities to management by due dates.
  • Assist in the analysis of sales and market data to provide consultation for under-performing markets.
  • Identify growth opportunities for Wis-Pak Brand sales and marketing initiatives.
  • Learn to effectively understand and communicate competitive products, market trends, and technologies.
  • Position presence in each market and chain/store to drive in-store sales.
  • Assist with selling-in of trade solutions, sampling activations, and shelf placement.
  • Exhibit exceptional skills in customer service, time management, self-confidence, flexibility, analysis, accountability, practicality, presentation, and communication.

Requirements

  • College degree preferred but not required.
  • Multiple years of sales experience, preferably in the Beverage industry calling on either distributor or store level.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Persuasive and diplomatic communication skills.
