About the position

The Account Manager, Supply Chain Alignment position at Kohler is a strategic role focused on enhancing the company's profitability and customer satisfaction through effective supply chain management. This position is pivotal in leading Supply Chain Alignment activities that support customers in both Retail and Wholesale Channels. The primary objective is to improve Kohler Co.'s profitability by gaining a deep understanding of the customer cost-to-serve model and taking ownership of the supply chain cost elements in the customer Profit and Loss (P&L) statement. This requires a thorough analysis of the customer's P&L to identify opportunities for cost reduction and waste elimination, thereby positively influencing the customer's profitability. In addition to financial oversight, the role emphasizes improving delivery reliability and speed by implementing advanced supply chain techniques while managing cost-to-serve objectives. The Account Manager will own the Collaborative Forecasting process, integrating customer demand assumptions into Kohler's Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process. This involves reaching consensus on customer intelligence at the SKU and product category level, which directly impacts the P&L and forecast accuracy. The position also entails managing cross-functional project plans for onboarding new customers and entering new customer channels or markets. The Account Manager will design, champion, and oversee all projects related to Supply Chain Alignment activities, acting as the primary supply chain representative to customers. This role requires a broad and deep understanding of supply chain principles and a proven track record of delivering results. Building and maintaining relationships with assigned Supply Chain Alignment customers is crucial. The Account Manager will interact with key customer stakeholders for strategic initiatives, presentations, and decision-making processes. They will also lead supplier buying agreement negotiations and manage significant supply chain projects that impact the Kitchen & Bath Americas business, such as freight optimization and inventory reduction initiatives. The role demands accountability within the supply chain, ensuring that projects yield measurable results that meet the expectations of both Kohler and its customers. The Account Manager will set ambitious objectives for the supply chain team, ensuring continuous improvement and the establishment of customer-centric metrics for each initiative. Collaboration with Sales leadership to identify Supply Chain Alignment customers and initiatives is essential, as is the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders within the organization.
