About the position

The Account Manager Supply Chain position at VASS Pipe & Steel Co., Inc. involves managing a large portfolio of existing clients while actively seeking new business opportunities. This role is crucial for coordinating sales inquiries, order processing, and inventory management across multiple sales offices. The position requires strong communication and organizational skills to effectively handle high-volume coordination between various stakeholders in the supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Assume a large portfolio of existing clients both Domestic and International, as well as actively seeking new clients.
• Contribute to sales department and assist with sales inquiries and order processing for all three sales offices (New York, Houston, and Baton Rouge).
• Coordinate heavy volume between warehouses, vendors, customers, and the internal shipping/logistics department.
• Manage inventory shipments (inbound/outbound) from warehouses in Houston, Texas, including calculating quotes and providing information requests from customers/vendors.
• Coordinate and process orders, manage documentation for customers and vendors.
• Assist accounting department with reconciling A/R and A/P invoices.
• Support the Purchasing Department by sourcing future steel inventory/requirements.
• Willing to wear multiple hats and train in other departments of the company as necessary.

Requirements

• Excellent communication skills
• Fully computer proficient (Excel, Outlook, Word)
• Excellent math skills
• 7+ years of experience preferred
• Professional, organized, and ready to contribute to a team effort
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Pleasant phone manner and professional workplace demeanor
• Excellent problem-solving, time management, and organization skills

Nice-to-haves

• Bi-Lingual Spanish/English a plus, but not necessary
