About the position

The Account Manager for Water Treatment Chemicals at Veolia Water Technologies & Solutions is responsible for managing customer relationships and providing innovative solutions in water treatment. This role combines technical expertise with sales acumen to optimize customer profitability and productivity while promoting environmental sustainability. The position requires fieldwork, collaboration with various teams, and a consultative approach to meet diverse customer needs.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a consultant and advisor to customers, applying technologies to solve water and process treatment needs.
  • Learn and apply customer safety and environmental practices in the field.
  • Conduct fieldwork at commercial sites several days per month, including hands-on work with test equipment and chemical feed systems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and optimize chemical feed and equipment operations using predictive analytics.
  • Participate in daily operational meetings to share best practices and solutions with the team.
  • Promote account growth by collaborating across teams to deliver creative equipment, chemical, and analytics solutions.
  • Recognize and celebrate customer successes with industry-standard awards for environmental and operational savings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Industrial, or Mechanical), Biology, Environmental Science, Technology, or Chemistry, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work in various environments including heavy industrial and commercial properties.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel overnight.

  • Experience in direct sales, customer service, account management, or industry operations.
  • Good communication and technical (computer) skills.
