About the position

The Account Manager is the internal support to external and internal customers. This individual is responsible for customer service, answering product questions, producing accurate quotes & orders, maintaining data in the CRM, and assisting with customer forecasting. The Account Manager is directly and indirectly charged with growing the Infrastructure distribution business through these efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for qualifying the business needs and implementing customer specific strategies in achieving defined customer growth targets.
  • Ability to re-engage customers who are low or non-performing by developing new strategies, offering solutions and tactics to develop and grow current business.
  • Responsible for onboarding and educating all new customers regarding current product offering and meeting their needs.
  • Interact and maintain a business relationship with counterparts within the organization and execute strategies and objectives provided by management.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with other team members within the department and throughout the organization.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
  • Regular and prompt attendance at work is a primary function and requirement of this position.
  • Established strong understanding over a minimum of 12 continuous months of overall product knowledge and processes necessary for supporting orders and quotes to customers.
  • Able to manage heavy workloads with a positive attitude while growing and developing a sustainable and healthy region.
  • Some light travel may be required.
  • Must be highly organized.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Provide market feedback and forecasting, acting as a liaison between the industry and PV.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Bachelor's degree in business preferred.
  • Two years of experience in the Infrastructure industry working with construction or distribution, preferred.
  • Two years of inside sales/Customer Service experience preferred.
  • Knowledge in Microsoft AX, Salesforce and Web Search a plus.
  • Computer literate in a Microsoft Windows environment.
  • Intermediate level of experience using Microsoft Excel.
  • Intermediate level of experience using Microsoft Outlook.
  • Intermediate level of experience using Microsoft Word.
  • Intermediate level of experience using Microsoft PowerPoint.
