About the position

Hickory Springs is seeking an Account Manager for the Midwest region, primarily servicing customers in southern Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, and adjacent states. The role involves executing sales programs, promoting growth initiatives, and managing customer relationships to drive sales and support services for both existing and new accounts.

Responsibilities

• Actively creates and works customer leads to grow product sales regionally
• Solicits customer orders by phone, email or through regional travel
• Displays or demonstrates products, using samples or presentations, emphasizing product features and benefits
• Negotiates pricing and credit terms as directed by management
• Assists operations in coordinating customer delivery dates, according to production schedules and customer expectations
• Prepares and maintains expense reports weekly, including customer entertainment and travel expenses
• Provides technical and repair assistance to customers as needed
• Maintains accurate price schedules and customer product list
• Develop business relationships with numerous key staff members at each customer

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing related sales position OR 5+ years of operational management experience including sales management
• Must have valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
• Must be able to travel to visit customers and HS facilities
• A minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent (BS in business, marketing or related is ideal)
