About the position

The Account Manager at BlackHawk Industrial is responsible for managing and nurturing customer relationships to achieve sales revenue and profit objectives. This role emphasizes the importance of safety, product knowledge, and customer satisfaction, while also requiring effective communication and problem-solving skills. The Account Manager will work closely with both existing and prospective customers, ensuring they receive the necessary support and information to enhance their productivity.

Responsibilities

  • Manage new and existing customer relationships
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of products
  • Present products to customers
  • Follow through with customers to ensure satisfaction
  • Identify and prioritize existing and prospective customers within the territory
  • Study product information and attend seminars
  • Attend and contribute to company sales meetings and technical sessions
  • Provide customers with literature and promotional materials
  • Provide the General Manager with market information regarding trends and new products
  • Proactively solve problems for customers
  • Build and sustain positive customer relationships
  • Provide and coordinate technical support as needed
  • Support and expand onsite sales and service
  • Communicate customer and market issues to company management
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Perform all work in accordance with ISO processes and procedures

Requirements

  • High School diploma required
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
  • 2-5 years' experience in a similar position required in Industrial Sales
  • Previous sales or customer service experience preferred
  • High levels of product knowledge
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Competent with the use of computer software specific to the operation
