About the position

The Sales Manager at Afton Chemical Corporation is responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans to expand the company's position with global customers, maintain and increase market share, and enhance profitability in selected segments of the additive business. This role typically manages a significant revenue stream, ensuring alignment with regional marketing goals and fostering strong relationships with key accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and oversee the implementation of strategic sales plans to meet regional marketing goals.
  • Consult with marketing to identify end user needs and prioritize sales opportunities.
  • Utilize internal sales processes for demand forecasting and opportunity management.
  • Promote Afton Solutions using Passion for Solutions Selling and Insight Selling methodologies.
  • Develop and maintain senior management contacts at accounts to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Provide yearly AOP forecasts and ensure proper sales activities to meet this plan.
  • Participate in the Long Range Plan development with the marketing group and CTS management.
  • Facilitate new product introductions to customers.

Requirements

  • BS degree in Marketing, Business, or Technical/Science field.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and strong industry knowledge through sales management experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Advanced relevant degree (e.g. MBA).
  • Experience in the petrochemical, additive, or petroleum industry.
