About the position

The position is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of an airport station, including managing staff, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and maintaining client relations. The role involves administrative duties such as hiring, training, payroll processing, and scheduling, while also focusing on operational performance and safety management.

Responsibilities

  • Manage overall operations including hiring, terminations, and employee relations.
  • Oversee scheduling and staffing to ensure adequate coverage and manage daily budgeted hours.
  • Develop and communicate the station safety plan and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Train and retrain personnel on airline/airport procedures and company policies.
  • Maintain good employee relations and handle employee issues effectively.
  • Act as a liaison among local airport/airline managers, FAA representatives, and the company.
  • Perform quality assurance service audits to conform to client specifications.
  • Respond to inquiries from clients, staff, and the public in a courteous manner.

Requirements

  • 5 years of progressive management experience preferred.
  • Operations, Airline, or Hospitality experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of financial reports and budgets.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, and data entry.
  • Flexibility and multitasking ability in a changing environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in safety management systems (SMS).
  • Familiarity with state regulations regarding hiring and termination.
