About the position

The Account Manager at Otis Elevator Company is responsible for creating and managing customer relationships through effective sales strategies and problem-solving. This role involves overseeing a portfolio of approximately 600 units, ensuring customer satisfaction, and driving sales growth in a dynamic and team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of approximately 600 units.
  • Serve as the primary contact for timely resolution of customer needs, including inquiries about estimating, insurance certificate requests, billing questions, and maintenance record requests.
  • Build relationships with customers through regular contact and responsiveness to their expectations.
  • Develop and expand the sales territory through cold calling and understanding local market conditions and competitor dynamics.
  • Manage and nurture account relationships to drive renewals and repairs using technology and virtual capabilities.
  • Conduct sales planners and needs assessments to inform account targeting efforts, including expansion within the existing installed base and renewal efforts.
  • Assist with customer concern resolution in collaboration with Operations, including Service PM and Supervisor.
  • Utilize Otis' sales tools to effectively track opportunities, pipeline, and forecast sales results.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Excellent demonstrated customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a highly team-oriented and dynamic environment.
  • Strong presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Comfortable in a technical environment utilizing Microsoft-based software.
  • Strong leadership skills, goal-oriented, and self-motivated with strong time management and organizational skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous sales experience preferred.
