About the position

The Account Manager at White Cap plays a crucial role in building relationships and driving sales for mid-size accounts in the construction industry. This position is integral to the company's commitment to providing exceptional service and support to professional contractors, contributing to significant construction projects across North America.

Responsibilities

  • Build relationships and develop plans to increase sales and profitability for mid-size accounts.
  • Generate viable sales leads and prospects through market and account research, sales events, networking, vendor events, and computer programs.
  • Contact assigned and prospective accounts to secure new business.
  • Develop and execute profitable business plans for managing accounts.
  • Team with individuals within sales and key corporate personnel to communicate account plans, pricing, and offer assistance to drive sales.
  • Accountable for attaining assigned sales quota, part margin, and controllable expense objectives.
  • Interact with customers, vendors, and associates to resolve customer and service-related issues.
  • Maintain a current and competent base of product knowledge and apply that knowledge when servicing customers.
  • Maintain and submit all required sales administration reports.
  • Regularly attend company meetings.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience in sales, preferably in Outside Sales to professional contractors.
  • Ability to operate a Company Vehicle or a Personal Vehicle, with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report.

  • Familiarity with Company products and services.
  • Spanish language proficiency.
